"bad medicine"
Alright, another episode with Riley, my new favorite character. As you may not know, he is secretly gay. However, he really WANTS to be straight. He doesn't like the fact that he likes guys. So, he takes steroid pills, in hopes of becoming more manly.
I'm sure you can guess that crazy shit that happens next.
Peter warns Riley about how they "give you boobs and make you all paranoid and stuff", but Riley doesn't listen. After a couple of weeks, he is able to lift double than what he started with at the beginning of the school year. And he starts trying to date girls, but chooses Sav's ex, Anya. Which is generally a bad move, and Sav gets in his face, but then backs down because Riley is all muscly and shit.
While all this is going on, Derek gets Danny to get this asian girl to go on a date with him. Then Danny realizes he likes her and is all jealous now, and then Derek is like, hey, it's cool, go for it. So they kiss, and it's the ugliest interracial couple I've ever seen.
Riley is also running from his past (LITERALLY). Throughout the show, he's texting this guy he used to know from summer camp, and it turns out to have been his first gay experience! So he's running in the woods and this guy is standing there, and is like, oh, hai Riley. And guess what socially awkward Riley does? He straight up runs away in the other direction! And then goes home and does hella push-ups. Oh well, because something really weird happens between the two of them in the woods a little while later. Let me tell you, this gay guy is extremely creepy looking. But it's like, why do they have to be so gay about it? I mean, they hook up in the WOODS for crying out loud, which is pretty typical, next to a public restroom.
So then I guess the drugs kick in, and Riley starts losing his mind. He thinks everyone is talking about him, and that Peter is telling everyone that he's gay. Riley can't handle it anymore and chucks the eraser right at Peter's chest. Peter looks at him like, wtf, and then says, "You have roid rage!" to which Riley responds, "It's my body, I'll do what I want." (real original, by the way.) Peter lists off all the afterschool special side effects of steroids to get the kids watching to stop.
Now it comes to the football game, and Riley is ALL pumped up and pissed off. Sav is freaking out, because Riley took Anya on a picnic, although they decided to just stay friends. Sav gets in Riley's face and said the picnic was gay. And with Riley, the "G" word is not permissible, therefore, Sav gets crazy headbutted and punched in the face until he's a bloody mess.
Riley quits steroids and Peter is like, you really thought steroids would make you straight?
