thanks

No one has been leaving me any comments.
Thanks a lot guys.

In other news, I feel strange because I haven't posted a blog entry about my favorite fictional character ever created.

That's some Sgt. Doakes for you.

Anyways, this is what has been on my mind lately. Episodes of Dexter. That's about all I'm willing disclose on the subject, but just so everyone knows.

By the way, I was exploring Tru TV'S Crime Library, and there's some really messed up stuff on there. Such as this:

An eleven year old from Sarasota was abducted, and it was caught on tape.
I don't know. This kind of shit is just really uncool.

My new favorite website

Tru TV's Crime Library

See you in a few days people.

uhhll

Sometimes I just feel like such an idiot. If there was a contest over how many times a person can say the wrong thing in one conversation, I'd definitely be a runner up. I just feel so awkward. Like, everything I want to say, I take it and word it all wrong so what I'm really thinking takes the verbal form of something way worse. And I'm at a no loss for disclaimers these days, either. Since I'm constantly saying what I didn't mean to say, I feel like I have to explain myself every chance I get. When am I ever gunget some mental peace?
I had multiple wilderness camp themed dreams this morning. If only they had let me drink Jones' soda at wilderness camp, because they did in my dream. It was a semi-excellent dream, except we weren't too far out in the wild.
I had the desire to kill my dog today. I don't think I've ever been so pissed off at him in my life as I just was five minutes ago.
Severely angry.

I think the most obnoxious thing about creepy people is the fact that they can't understand how they're being perceived as creeps, while continuing to act creepily right before your very eyes.

This is Anna Hobbs, for your health...
The Hogue brothers need to stop drinking ASAP.

it's weird

I don't want anything to be different from the way that it turned out, because this is the first time in months I think I've understood why things end up being the way that they do.
It's vague, I know, but I think there's always a quixotic time of understanding, where I finally question nothing and accept everything. Simply because that's how it is.
And, not to mention, I think something that is happening now is much different than anything that has ever happened before.

wow

I mean, to be honest, I think this is the best. The best thing ever. There's very few things that are like this.

"Tonight we're having intestines!" -- my step dad.

A Few Issues

1) I think movies are strange because they take parts of life and portray them in a way that would never actually happen. It's frustrating sometimes, but in a way, it's good, because I don't think people really watch movies to get some reality. I'm mostly interested in movies that are way different than what my life is like, or something takes place that would never happen in my life. Randomly, a movie like my life will come out, and it will be something terrible like Taxi Driver, or Raging Bull, or Ronin, or, really, any Roberto Di Nero movie, and it's always a very profound experience for me.
One movie that really frustrates me, although it's probably one of my favorite movies, is Life is Beautiful. Because, really, I find it hard to believe that this guy was able to sneak his child into the barracks of his concentration camp, who just chills with him throughout the entire movie. That is a detail that is hard to overlook at times. I don't know, maybe the Italian Jews had it a little more lax in than the other Jews of the world in their Italian concentration camps, you know how they are.
2) There sure are a lot of power outlets in my room. Sometimes I worry about electromagnetic waves. I don't like the idea that these waves can give me a feeling of paranoia and fear, and the sensation that I'm being watched. It's going to make me think the house is haunted.
3) I'm running out of things to wear, and it's frustrating me!!!!
4) I can't find my remote control anywhere, I have no clue where it could be. This makes life a lot more difficult and inconvenient for me, because I hate getting out of bed to change the channel or turn it off. I guess I'm a little spoiled when it comes to the latest technology, such as jacuzzis and bobble heads and remote controls!
5) wonder more want more than we did before the shit is running and it runs deep i'm way out when you mean it on the inside you still can't get to me fits around me so tight fits around me so tight fits around me SO TIGHT fits around me SO TIGHT fits around me fits around me fits around me fits around me fits around fits around me fits around me fits around me

I'm a perv

but I'm so down with the little boy version of people that you only see in family albums.
Damn it's getting late I've wasted too much time on this thing.

Nostalgia

Sometimes days literally smell like California, especially mixed with the way the air feels on my face and the way the sun streams at certain angles. It makes me feel like I'm walking to McClellan Ranch Park, or sitting at the bottom benches at Linda Vista. It feels like drinking Oregon Chai and smoking a bowl at Coffee Society, or making a soda can pipe at Jollyman, or fishing at the reservoir. I could be driving down 17 headed for Santa Cruz with the windows down listening to college radio, or climbing the foothills behind Los Altos. Or I could be in Alex Day's backyard tripping on acid, or eating macaroni and cheese outside at Whole Foods. It feels like leaving the library at De Anza to get to class on time, riding my bike to work, or playing chess at Santana Row. If I close my eyes and try not to think too hard, I can see 7th st and the MLK library with its pouring sun and bowing trees, and quiet hum, never too overbearing, even if I am downtown.

Nostalgia is hitting me like a bag of hammers, and yes, it is painful.

Blog of Note

Check out this fresh new blog hot off the press courtesy of Harlan Hogue.
hot blog
Do your worst, Hargoyle.
Also, new question of the week to the right.

"I need to go to the projects more often".

That's a direct quote from Nigel Barker, and I'm pretty sure he is the hottest guy on the history of the planet.

That's right, ladies, he also has an English accent.

This shit, however, is unacceptable:

Those people have got to GO.

If I were taller, I would try out for America's Next Top Model only in hopes of getting somewhat close to him. I have no desire to be a model, but I have every interest in modeling for Nigel Barker. He can take my picture any day.

Benefit of the Doubt

Deserved or undeserved?
I just gotta stop being so damn easy, because in the end, it's always been my fault.
It's just frustrating because, I mean, how many times am I going to make the same stupid mistakes? And why is it impossible for me to ever feel like talking to God about it?
I know people say that God will accept you for who you are right now. But I don't think that's true. I don't think I'll feel God's presence again until I stop living a certain way. He's not going to reach out to me anymore than I'm going to reach up to him.

by the way

WHAT'S UP DENMARK, INDONESIA, MEXICO, NETHERLANDS, AND THE UK?

pretty deep survey

see how many people hate me after this

CATEGORY ONE : ABORTION
1] Do you want abortion to stay legal or be illegal?:
Well, I am totally against abortion in every aspect, so I'd probably have to choose the latter.

2] Would you ever get an abortion yourself?:
HECK NO

3] Do you think abortion should be legal for everyone, or just in the case of rape or something life-threatening?:
I think it should be totally illegal.

4] Why do you have the views on abortion that you do(ex. religion, someone explained stuff to you, etc.)?:
Because I don't believe that we should choose who lives or dies, and I think life begins immediately.

5] If your best friend got an abortion, would you still talk to her?:
That's the point of having a best friend, shit happens and it wouldn't change anything.

6] Should an age limit be put on abortions (ex. only girls under 18 can get abortions or some other age)? Why?:
How about nobody.

7] What do your parents think about abortion?:
Pro-life as far as I know.

8] If you want abortion illegal, aren't you worried about more babies being left in dumpsters and women performing abortions with clothes hangers, killing the babies?
Just as bad as any other form of death, such as drowing, falling of a cliff, being aborted...

9] Do you know anyone who had an abortion and regretted it?:
Yeah, but I also know people who don't regret it.

10] Do you think abortion is a responsible or irresponsible way to deal with pregnancy?:
I don't think it's irresponsible, I just think it's immoral.

CATEGORY TWO : GAY RIGHTS
1] Should gays have the right to marry? Why or why not?:
I don't know, really. I have conflicting view points.

2] Gays should be treated like normal people, yes or no?:
As long as they're people and not cyborgs or dogs.

3] Why do you think society acts so strangely about gay people?:
Well, people are strange when you're a stranger.

4] Do you use "gay" as an insult?:
Yeah, sometimes it's just the perfect word.

5] Can you be born gay, or is it a choice?:
I don't know ask a gay guy. I've met a lot of fake gay people, though, so it's most likely both.

6] Is any older person in your family strongly against gays?:
Isn't there one in every family?

7] If you have any gay/bisexual friends, do you support them?:
Yes, they're chill.

8] Some people don't think we're born with any sexuality and that we just "decide" later on. Do you agree or disagree?:
I don't think I decided my sexuality, but I know I wasn't sexual as a kid.

9] Obama is against gay marriage, but is for civil unions. Do you think the same way?:
OBAMA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

10] Should gays be allowed in the military?:
I guess, but I don't know any gay guys who would WANT to join the military.

CATEGORY THREE : DRUG LEGALIZATION
1] Should marijuana be legal or illegal?:
Haha, I'd say legal, but I'm biased.

2] Some people think ALL drugs (cocaine, heroin, etc.) should be legal. Do you?:
LOL.

3] If marijuana became legal, do you think it would be less "taboo" and less kids would do it just to be cool?:
Is that what kids are doing these days?

4] If marijuana became legal, would you be more tempted to try it?:
Oh yeah, big time.

5] Should things like cigarettes and alcohol be illegal?:
Haha, good luck with that one.

6] What are some negative aspects to marijuana becoming legal?:
They'd probably add some shit to it, and we'd all lose motivation, therefore, small business would suffer.

7] And what about some positive aspects?:
We wouldn't be wasting tax dollars and prison space on harmless potheads.

8] Have you ever tried marijuana yourself? If so, do you think it's harmless enough to be legal?:
Helll yeaahhh

9] If marijuana became legal, what should be the minimum age you're allowed to purchase it at?:
10 YEARS OLD PLAYA

10] Is marijuana even a big deal to you?:
Only because it's illegal.

CATEGORY FOUR : EDUCATION
1] Teachers technically aren't allowed to fail you the first marking period because they don't want you to get yourself "into a hole you can't dig out of" and fail for the year. Is this a good method?:
I have no idea what you're talking about.

2] Do you believe that grades reflect intelligence?:
In some aspects, but not usually.

3] I heard on the news that children that do their homework regularly are 35% more likely to get paid more than the people who don't do it regularly. What do you think of that?:
I THINK THAT'S PRETTY FINE

4] There's a black history month and it's usually recognized in schools. There's also a women's history month, Native American culture month, etc. but they're not recognized in school or any other place really. Why is that?:
White guilt.

5] Should teachers be allowed to hit their kids like old times?:
Maybe a little smack on the ass.

6] Should teachers be allowed to talk about religion in a public school?:
It's called freedom of speech, but there's a difference between talking about religion and force feeding it.

7] Should teachers be allowed to talk about their personal lives to students?:
I really don't care about my teachers personal lives.

8] Do you think that teachers should be stricter about spelling and grammar (especially since most people still mess up its and it's, you're and your, etc.)?:
I would be.

9] You have to take four years of English and Gym in high school, but not four years of any other subject. Why do you think English and Gym were chosen?:
I only had to take a year and a half of gym because I got away with murder.

10] Is gym class really necessary?
Well, it's not making anyone any less fat.

CATEGORY FIVE : WAR
1] "Fighting for peace is like fucking for virginity." True or false?:
Can't you say having sex instead?

2] Do you agree with the war in Iraq?:
No.

3] Obama thinks that the real war is in Afganistan. Do you agree?:
I have no idea what you're talking about.

4] Will withdrawing our troops from Iraq be a good or bad thing?:
I don't really care.

5] Do you think it's right for the government to draft men into the war, whether they're willing or not?:
I'd be pretty pissed.

6] Even if you don't agree with the draft, do you think women should be drafted as well (as long as they're not pregnant and such)?:
NO WAY!!!

7] Do you think the war in Iraq was really necessary, even after Bush admitted there was no weapons of mass destruction in Iraq?:
I don't know enough about it, and I'm not one for conspiracy theories so spare me.

8] Does war really solve anything?:
Hell yeah it does and you're a tree hugging hippie douche if you say otherwise. We wouldn't have our country if it wasn't for war.

9] Do you believe that world peace is possible?:
No wway.

10] "Most wars start because of religion." True or false?:
False who the heck is going around saying this crap? I'm pretty sure most wars are some country's self righteous tendencies that they can't keep in check.

falling asleep

Why is that many a time when I am drifting off to sleep do I get weird images in my head, like the cast of Dexter dressed up for the Day of the Dead festival in Mexico City, or people's faces except with a mustache? Probably because it's the way my subconscious mind processes my daily life. Or maybe that's really my conscious mind, and I'm only pretending to think rationally.
Also, every time I start to get close to someone, it's like falling asleep on a hammock of rose petals and woken up shortly after because you're falling off of a cliff into an iceburg ridden ocean infested with giant squids. It starts off pretty good, but it just starts getting worse and worse. Or at least, that's what I assume will happen so I wind up cutting to the chase.
So let's hope I'm wrong about everything.

oh yeah

remember this?

Langerado

has been cancelled.
No trip to Miami in March. No Broken Social Scene until who knows when. I thought I wouldn't have to go a whole year without seeing them, but it looks like it could be longer than that. Because I know them. They come to California every chance they get but don't really hit up Florida too often, just like every other band I love. But, I mean, I guess I can't expect them to tour the country all year round like slaves so they'd come to Florida every few months.
But now this is becoming a little more general. Most of the bands I like seem to leave the Tampa Bay Area out of their tour. Only really shitty bands, like A Skylit Drive and Chiodos, Metro Station and Less Than Jake, Senses Fail and Bright Eyes.
Cat Power, however, tends to just chill in New York and LA, but will get as close as Athens, Georgia or somewhere in North Carolina. That's lame. Have The Decemberists even gone anywhere since they cancelled their tour last year when someone got hella sick? Maybe Colin Meloy has but I don't even know. Brand New has been MIA since 2007 as well. Everyone else chills in LA, San Francisco, San Diego, Mountain View, and Santa Cruz. I don't know, I wish I had better luck with shows. Wish I had better luck in life. You know. Just another reason I miss California!
Anyways, all my posts turn into something they didn't start out to be. This one, for example, started out as me giving you information and turned into me rambling and getting nostalgic. So that's enough of this. Some weird version of Alice in Wonderland is on TV, and I think that's where I'm headed.
Also, I think I'm going to add Harlan as an author on my blog but I'm not sure. What does everybody think? I'm afraid he will try to sabotage the blog. Let's take a vote.

some more creepy things to say

And it's only been about twenty six minutes.
This is the part of myself that I can't stand. I'm getting all giggly for almost no reason on an almost hourly basis. I feel these constant waves in my gut, and my vision gets blurry if I look to the right too fast. I lie in bed and rest my palms on my stomach and on my thighs and on my hips and on my neck and behind my knees and beneath my jaw just to touch the places you did simply because you were there simply so you don't feel so far away. Although you're not that far and tomorrow will come soon. Which is why I can't understand how I can miss you so much, and this is the part of myself that I can't really stand.
But I know what tastes good, and I know what feels right. But I'm still very scared of being wrong.
